Am I the only one who thinks that Yamato made a wise choice in telling Naruto the truth. Naruto needs to know that the next time he loses control, the consequences can even be more dire than what they were this time.
Besides, Naruto is too stubborn to not lose temper just because someone tells him to. We have already seen this in the previous arc where Kakashi has to tell him repeatedly to stop pursuing Deidara, but Naruto does that anyways just because of his nature.

Yamato totally did the right thing. I don't know why everyone is bitching out. Naruto is too quick to lose his temper. His emotions may be his strongest asset but they're also his biggest drawback and he needs to understand that and behave more rationally. There's no need to tell him gently and spare his feelings, he's a whole full grown ninja. I love naruto but this behavior is not it. And he's going to get someone even more hurt. I don't really think anyone knows the nine tail's power and besides he deserves to be talked to like that.
Naruto knows he has the nine tails and jiraiya told him it comes out with anger, meaning it is his fault for getting like that in the first place. Naruto needs to learn that his emotions can kill the people around him if he's not careful and there is no nice way to say that.

I really am loving Yamato's character. He's straightforward and doesn't hesitate in confrontation. The fact that he told Naruto the truth is the best part. It's kinda irritating when a person is not told the truth just so that their feelings wouldn't get hurt. Naruto needs to know and needs to calm the fuck down and then take the course of action.
